Oh this is just lovely. Perfect for after work or starting up a Saturday night! The mint tea accentuates and highlights the flavours of the bourbon without covering or overpowering it, making it a successfully strong yet approachable cocktail.
Difficulty: 1 / 5
Step 1 - In a saucepan, bring water to a boil with sugar and balsamic. Add tea and remove from heat, allowing 5 minutes for tea to steep. Add to jug and stir in 3 cups of cold water. Once tea has cooled, fill julep cups or highballs with crushed or cubed ice, then pour halfway with tea and divide bourbon evenly over the cups. Add fresh mint to each cup and serve.
