The South Will Rise Again! Cheers to all things amazing about the Southern classic Mint Julep – revisited! The acidity brought to this party by the Grapefruit Balsamic and fresh grapefruit will enliven your taste buds and entice you to return for a refreshing refill!
Step 1 - In a small sauce pan, bring sugar and water to a simmer, stirring to dissolve. Simmer for 5 minutes, until sugar is completely dissolved and stir in mint. Allow syrup to cool. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Step 2 - In 4 mule mugs or cocktail glasses, add ½ oz Grapefruit White Balsamic, 2 oz mint syrup, 5-6 whole mint leaves and 1 grapefruit wedge. Muddle mixture, top up with bourbon and crushed ice. Stir gently and garnish with more fresh mint and another wedge of grapefruit.
